What am I, made of money?

This month's natural gas bill: $216.53. Keep in mind that that's only for heat. Every thing else is electric.

Carry on.

Good lawd.

We're on some sort of plan where we pay the same amount year round and it all is supposed to balance out. It's $105/month. But then, I live in Minnesota. How did y'all use $216 worth of gas in a month in North Carolina?

I was bitchin' about our gas bill last month which is about the same as your's but this is a 2900 sq.ft. house - just outside DENVER. Guess I'll just shut-the-hell-up.

If you want to get really pissed, add in the gas you put in your car too.

And yeah, the bill seems waaaay out of control. You might want to have the gas company come out and check for leaks or a faulty meter. Or turn down the heat and put some clothes on!

And close the front door after going in the house, that'll help!

This has happened to me in the past, and it usually had to do with the ceiling or the attic or the roof. Is the ceiling of your top floor sealed nicely? (caulk, insulation, that sort of thing.)
