I'd like my 2 degrees back.

Scott's been in Minnesota on business for the past couple of days.

You know, the house is a lot colder when you have to sleep alone. That whole "jump at every bump in the night" thing isn't so fun, either.

You need a good watchdog. Mine is 13-years-old now and I've slept very well for the past many years. Of course, that loaded .32 revolver in my nightstand helps too.

Cute title! Is Scott going to be traveling more with his new job? You never really get used to them being gone. I "sleep" (if you can call it that) with lights on around the house and the TV on. Before we had kids, I'd look at his being out of town as a chance to do things I wanted to do. I'd pick things to eat that he didn't necessarily like, I'd watch movies that he wouldn't particularly want to watch and I'd do things that I wanted to do like give myself a full pedicure. It got to where I kind of looked forward to him being gone. That only lasted until it was time to go to bed, though. Cold, lonely and chicken isn't very conducive to sleeping.

Now that I have kids, I'm usually just annoyed because I have to do everything alone. Then I still have the whole lonely chicken thing going on...

Yup, in fact he has at least one more trip in the very near future.

I swore I was going to get stuff done while he was gone, like dusting and vacuuming and cleaning the half bath, but I kept making excuses to myself like "Well, Scott's sock is on the floor...so I can't clean in there."
