Bathroom S.C.U.B.A.

So, the staff at the workplace is expanding by leaps and bounds right before my very eyes--and to think, I was there for those desert-like first three months when it was just me, Bossman, and BossSon. We now have seven people on staff and on May 1 we'll have 8. And we'll all be using the same bathroom. You'd think that 8 people would be able to share a potty with no problems, but I'm not so sure at this point.

Right after we hired #7 I noticed that there are times when little lines will form outside the bathroom door. We're all within eye range of the bathroom, but if you don't physically get up and stand outside the door you're playing Russian Roulette - you never know which person had too much tabasco with their lunch.

We do technically have two bathrooms in the office suite, however the server and phone system is being stored in one of them....along with a plywood box covering the hole in the floor where a toilet should be.

Some of us [the 2 of us of the female persuasion] are sufficiently icky about the bathroom-sharing deal that we won't conduct any real "business" in there. Hell, I'd drive to Wal-Mart first. At least then I won't have to worry about the entire team hearing splashes (and as the person who sits closest to the toiler paper roll side of the crapper, I can tell you that the reverberation in there is awesome). Seeing as how the boys have metabolisms that cause them to go like clockwork after every meal and snack, this is getting pretty gross.

Hmm, I wonder what the optimal person-to-porcelain ratio is?

"the optimal person-to-porcelain ratio"

For me, one to one at the most two to one.

I'm sure it's not suitable for 8 people. Bossman needs to install second bathroom.

Also, are you the one stuck cleaning it? I think it should be on a rotational basis with everyone having a turn.
