I'm surprised by that Yankee thing, but I'm sure it has something to do with the way I say "route". Funny, I live in Texas with some Louisiana family and I'm white and 41, you live in North Carolina with some Yankee family and you're African-American and you're 25 or 27(?) and we have the same language profile. I've heard your accent, too, neither of us has a heavy Southern accent. Kinda weird.
