Buy me baloons and streamers.

at work.jpgWell. It's been almost a year since I started this job.

I remember when I got called in for an interview. I walked into an almost-empty office that had nothing but furniture, an owner, and his kid.

Scott thought this was a scam and feared that they were simply trying to get my social security number out of me so they could suck my finances dry before fleeing to the next town.

Well. This start-up business has gone from three to 8 full-time staff members. Not bad for an industry known for having high turnover rates in account executives. While we're not exactly rolling in do-re-mi, the average level of intelligence in the staff is sufficiently high that we can basically pool our respective genius and empty client's pockets telekinetically.

Am I happy with this job?

............some mornings I get up and hate the world. Other mornings I can see the long-term financial security that being in this job will provide. If I had the opportunity to stay at home and not work right now, would I?

I don't know. Today looks like a "Fuck off!" day, to me.
