Have you ever been around one of those kids, say two or three, that look at you like they are curious of you?
I don't mean kids that you know, per se, but other peoples' kids in public places.
Last night we went to O'Charley's for dinner and there was this little girl sitting in a booster chair. Unlike any other three-year-old I've ever encountered, she was sitting there calmly, assessing her surroundings, and waiting for the proper time to begin sipping her juice.
She was staring at me. It wasn't the "Ooh! Can I have your Barbie!" type stare, or even the "Mommy, how come her hair does that?" stare, but the "I want to be just like you when I grow up" stare.
That shit weirds me out. I remember doing that when I was a pipsqueak.

There are some adults out here that give you the oogly goggly eyes, too.
I was riding on the train one time, typing in my laptop, and this Chinese woman kept staring at me. And I'm looking at her, like, why are you constantly staring at me?
I soon realized that maybe this woman was amazed to see a Black brother typing away on a lap top computer listening to 50 Cent.
I don't know?
But she just kept staring and staring. Her head was even cocked to the side in a quiz-like look. I was waiting for a ? mark to pop up on the top of her head.
It wasn't no "Wow, he's a cutie" stares. It was one of those National Geographics' animal watchers' stares. It looked like she was analyzing me and shit.
I didn't want to get ghetto on her -- but I thisclose to sticking my finger up my nose and pretending that I ate a big green booger with some snot on the end. I wanted to freak her out. But I just chilled.
