People piss me off, Part II

I must be hormonal, but for the past couple of days I just haven't been able to tolerate people. I think I even put the fear of Jesus into the guy from corporate who came today. Today was a "no-nonsense" day.

Here's the problem: I'm a busy girl. Because I actually manage my assistants, I spend a good deal of time making sure they're working as efficiently as possible on the most important tasks we have to do (I also do this to make sure nobody else is trying to give them anything to do).

I spend the rest of my time cleaning up messes in the office - and I'm not talking about the piss the guys leave on the bathroom floor (although, I guess I do clean that up, too).

The people I work with fall into two major categories:

1) Disorganized, and
2) Ignorant

The second one I tend to be a bit more accepting of. The disorganized people that don't have their shit together usually create more work for me to do because whatever they did the first time has been lost. They have no set systems for things, so I end up having to create them...then they don't follow them, so I have to sift through the clutter on their desks to find important documents to get back to corporate.

I mean...it's nice that people prefer that I do things because I do them right, but it really bothers me that they wait until the last minute to get things done and then demand that I do it.

I'm sick of working with fucking children. One thing in particular: they try to use me as a buffer between themselves and Bossman in their requests for things that are for business use and need to be purchased with company funds. That's some bullshit. They call themselves salespeople and are afraid to ask their fucking boss for $30 reimbursement? Fucking children. Do they really believe that in the business world everyone has a expense account and don't have to beg for pennies? They'd better grow up. I've placed many charges on my credit card for things we needed for the office. A new door sign. Flowers for a client. Network equipment. Whatever. I write up an expense report and Bossman signs a check at the end of the month. Sometimes you have to spend your own money because it's convenient.

I don't understand how people allow themselves to be so easily intimidated by "bosses".

Tell them to (wo)man UP!
