Yeah, I'll get right on it.

I hate people. I really, truly do. Tell me why you would ask someone to do something when other parties have already stated that they didn't need it?

If I wasn't putting in my notice next Friday, I would seriously consider getting the fuck out of here today even with no prospects in sight.

What happened was, there's a certification exam that recruiters can take after two years tenure. All the materials needed to study for that test are on the corporate website, clearly marked. I printed out all the necessary documents that my boss needed to study for the exam and purchased the book he'd need to read (out of my own money) three months ago. All that shit, piles and piles of shit, has been sitting on his credenza for three months, untouched, yet when I was printing it all of and looking for these items it was so fucking urgent.

Yesterday, I got CC'd on an email stating that he'd have his AA - he still seems to think he has an assistant (and in fact my role and "title" changes depending on who he needs to impress), compile a checklist of all the necessary materials for the exam to forward to some of the other managers.

One woman responded that she already had the materials - she just wasn't studying. In general, that's the case. I saw the email yesterday and promptly did absolutely nothing.

Today, he asks me again if I could send them a checklist. I told him there was already one on the website. In fact, that's what I had used. I also told him that he could just type the six-item list from that stack of shit sitting on his credenza.

Him: "You know, well..."

So, basically, this is him showing his machismo and trying to show people that he has some power over someone.

What did I do? I copied the requirements word-for-word from the website, keeping the same obvious font colors and styles, and forwarded them. He wants to be a leader? Play on, playa.

This guy sounds a lot like my boss. He gets on power trips like that often too. UGH!
