CRAP!

Remember when I was mumbling about this a couple of months ago? For those of you too lazy to click the link, to summarize, I use the social networking site Facebook to stay in touch with friends from high school and college.

The network used to be private enough that if you weren't directly affiliated with another member's circle, be it school or geographic location, they couldn't do a blind search for you. Now they can.

Also, Facebook has recently added this feature called the Newsfeed where you can read all the recent activities your friends have made. Here's what my feed looks like right now (edited to remove names):

Today

Tiffany and XXX are now friends. 4:59pm

My privacy settings are set up that only my friends (meaning people I actually know and give a damn about) can read my feed and profile details. What I sometimes forget is that my actions can be made inadvertantly clear in OTHER peoples' feeds.

So, I recieved a friend request earlier which I accepted. That person is friends with the person I previously declined that I spoke of in the linked post above. He apparently saw that I do indeed check my friend requests because there was a newsfeed entry on the new friend's profile.

He just tried to add me again.

I'm sorry, but, why can't people get a clue? If I had requested to add someone and they hadn't reciprocated within a couple of days, I'd take the hint.
