Mini-vacation

Bossman will be out of town for the rest of the week attending some corporate training session from which he will bring back ideas on how to take the business in different directions.

*sigh*

Inevitably this will mean that we'll have to expand the business by adding more recruiters. Hiring recruiters is hard. Isn't that ironic? We recruit for people and have a hard time filling our own staff.

It's a tough job. If you can't stand people telling you "No," then it's a miserable job. But if you'd do anything shy of selling your ass for a buck then it's a pretty well-paying job.

There just aren't enough business-savvy people around that are really awesome at sales that are willing to do it from an office. The best people at this job are the ones who excelled at outside sales and then decided they want to do it sitting down.

But I digress.

He's going up to come back with a pile of paper about starting interim placement business. Then there will be a discussion of who if anyone in this office wants to branch into that sort of thing. If there is no one willing to give up their clients to start from scratch, the intensive hiring process will begin again as well as the ordering of furniture and bitching about how we already have too many people using the ONE bathroom.

I have four days of freedom before all that begins.

Let us pray.
