Well, then.

So, I had a forty minute conversation with my boss this morning. I don't really feel like anything was resolved.

Apparently, he'd known about the email that Fuckhead sent me - he actually proofed it and said, "Sure, it's okay." It was supposed to be some kind of "olive branch," but what-the-fuck-ever. If someone is speaking in Spanish to someone who only understands French you're certain to have some communication problems. I took offense to the email because a) I don't like this person, and b) no one had at any point had a conversation with me regarding anything stated in that message. I read it as being told what to do.

Bossman did, however, ask his friend who runs the same business in California if he thought I'd be offended by the message. This guy, knowing me only via brief phone conversations over the past year and a half knew I would be offended - because he would be.

Anyway. It's all on the table now. Bossman knows that I despise Fuckhead, but there aren't any real solutions to the problem. I have to work with (not for) him because he really wants to give him a shot at this.

You see, Fuckhead is a perpetual lazy fuck-up. Bossman has come close to firing him on numerous occasions for such. So, according to Bossman, in order to get some worth out of his financial investment into Fuckhead gave him this position to get SOME work out of him. Since Fuckhead is taking the new position seriously, he's going to give him a chance to work it out.

How is this supposed to affect me? I'm supposed to help him just like I help everyone else in the office. Is he a loud, obnoxious jackass? Absolutely, but Bossman doesn't feel that he means any offense by it - you see, he was just raised that way. When the position was offered to him he actually insisted that he should get a pay raise and final override over everything (whatever that means), but Bossman squashed that. Did I get a raise when Bossman realized that it was me running the office and not him? I don't recall such.

The long and the short of it is that Bossman doesn't want me to leave and he is aware that I dislike that coworker enough to shove toothpicks into his corneas, but he can't really offer any solutions.

He wants us to meet weekly to discuss general office management and such. I made it perfectly clear that I didn't want to be within five feet of Fuckhead any time soon.

I feel like I wasted my breath.

What the fuck, man. Why is that jackasses seem to get rewarded for their behavior?

However it's perceived, I always thought coming up with nicknames for co-workers were helpful to the situation...seriously...for me and my stress anyway. Let me know if you need any suggestions, I've come up with and got some doozies!
